General Information The game has been in development for 5 years (previously known as Rapture). Final Fantasy XIV is being developed by the same team that did Final Fantasy XI. All of the music is being composed by Nobuo Uematsu! The game is coming to PC and Playstation 3. Square Enix is currently considering "Microsoft hardware", so the game may also be released on the Xbox 360. Final Fantasy XIV is also aimed at casual gamers, like World of Warcraft, and unlike Final Fantasy XI. Apparently there will be content for all play styles, however, so those that want lasting content like FFXI will, supposedly, have it.
